CIM was a mix of pros and cons. While an overall decrement, the entire course is small rollers. I strongly suspect the speediness of the course advertised is due to (1) big purse=fast people and (2) rollers keep people from pacing poorly. It was a chilly, but nice, 40ish degrees the entire race. The start seeding didn't work at this race, the course was mostly strip malls, and food support at the end was somewhat skimpy.  On the other hand, the race was very professionally handled with little wait to cross the start and everything where it was supposed to be.

I found the course was long and now read that certified courses have been cert 1.01 long ever since the accidental-not-world-record of Salazar in an 80's marathon. Did everyone else know this and I'm just that slow!? :)

I think the rolling hill races are my races!
